In short: These terms are the agreement between you and CafeChat. The essentials: you must be 18 or older, you use the live video matching service as it is, you treat other users with respect, and breaking the rules can end your access. Read the sections below for the full picture.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CafeChat, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the service.

Who Can Use CafeChat

CafeChat is strictly for adults aged 18 or older. By using the service you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. We may suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 18.

The Service

CafeChat provides live, one-on-one video matching: the service pairs you with another user for a real-time video conversation, and either side can end the call and request a new match at any time. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular number of matches, or the behavior of any user you are matched with. Features may change over time as the product evolves.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CafeChat to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users in any way.
• Share or solicit illegal content of any kind, including any sexual content involving minors.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity to deceive others.
• Run scams or solicit money, gift cards, financial details, or verification codes from other users.
• Record other users without their consent.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise collect data from the service by automated means.
• Interfere with the operation of the service or attempt to access systems you are not authorized to use.

Content & Conduct

You are responsible for everything you show and say on camera. Keep your conduct within the rules above and within the law. Other users can report behavior that violates these terms, and reports may lead to restrictions on your account. Remember that the person you are matched with is a stranger: be thoughtful about what personal information you share, and review our safety page for guidance.

Account

You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your access credentials secure. Provide accurate information when you use the service. You can delete your account at any time through the app.

Virtual Items & Payments

CafeChat may offer optional paid features or virtual items within the app. Any purchase is governed by the terms and prices displayed to you in the app at the time of purchase, and by the rules of the platform through which you pay. Virtual items have no monetary value outside the service and are not transferable.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to CafeChat at any time if you violate these terms, create risk for other users, or expose us to legal liability. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as disclaimers and limitations of liability — remain in effect.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

CafeChat connects you with other users; we do not control and are not responsible for what users say or do during video conversations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CafeChat disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where the law does not allow a limitation, our liability is limited to the minimum the law permits.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, make a reasonable effort to notify you through the app. Continuing to use CafeChat after an update means you accept the revised terms.
